Blome Boro-Block™ linings utilize state of the art borosilicate foam glass block installed with a high performance, chemically-resistant elastomeric adhesive. This system exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance and thermal insulation in wet gas environments. It also withstands movement due to the elastomeric characteristics of the adhesive membrane.
A proven lining system paired with the expertise you need for decades of protection
The Boro-Block lining system is made of three parts: a primer, the borosilicate foam glass block and an adhesive membrane. As a total lining system, you can expect up to 30-40 years of protection, even in environments as harsh as an FGD facility. Suitable for Round Steel, Concrete, Brick and FRP Structures
Borosilicate foam glass block are lightweight and suitable for installation on steel, concrete, brick or FRP substrates. The 152 mm x 229 mm block size allows it to follow virtually any contour, curved or round substrates. That’s why Boro-Block is a great choice for stacks, chimneys, tanks, ductwork transitions, around penetrations and irregular configurations. They are also easily installed on vertical, horizontal* and overhead substrates.
*Horizontal installations that will be exposed to foot traffic should be protected with a 51 mm nominal thickness of Blome CP-24G Potassium Silicate Gunite. This will provide a wearing surface that is suitable for foot traffic.
